Executive Chef - Iconic Restaurant - Oslo - Norway

FHG are working with a well known restaurant group in Norway to recruit an Executive Chef for their flagship site in the heart of Oslo. 

The restaurant has a fantastic reputation as an Oslo dining institution with a menu that has a strong emphasis on fresh, quality seafood. 

The restaurant can seat up to 800 at peak summer times and has an annual turnover of circa £10 million per annum. 

The Executive Chef will be fully responsible for the day to day running of the restaurant, charged with refreshing the menus without losing the restaurants core identity which it has built up over many years. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

 - Creating, leading and contributing to a healthy working environment focusing on teamwork, open communication and talent development

 - Recruiting, cultivating and leading the kitchen team

- Menu development in line with high volume production and execution/plating

 - Driving standards across the board

 - Monitoring costs and achieving financial targets

 - Adhering to all health and safety legislation

- Leading the kitchen team from the front and being a regular presence in the kitchen

 - The role will also oversee a smaller bistro restaurant serving a classic french menu

Executive Chefs should have a proven track record of success in quality, fresh food, high volume establishments. The ability to enthuse and motivate a team is essential as is sound communication and organisation.

Head Chef - Contract Catering - Hatfield

FHG are working with a contract caterer to recruit a Head Chef for a blue chip site in Hatfield.

The site is the head office of a reputed brand and the caterer provides a full catering service including Breakfast, Lunch and reduced Dinner offer plus hospitality to the 1500 on site.

The Head Chef will take on he full day to day running of the site and work closely with the GM to ensure an outstanding offer is delivered. 

Key responsibilities will include:

 - Overseeing the team of 6 in the kitchen

 - Creation and development of innovative menus across all offers

 - Client Liaison

 - Maintain all health and safety standards

 - Staff training and development

Head Chefs should be passionate foodies with a strong knowledge of current food trends and the ability to translate them into a contract catering environment. 

The role would suit an experienced Head Chef looking for a new challenge as well as a strong Sous Chef looking to step up.

Head Chef salary: £30k

Core Hours: M-F, 7am - 4pm

Head Chef - Blue Chip site - Hospitality Kitchen - London

FHG are working with a boutique London based contract caterer to recruit a Head Chef to oversee their hospitality kitchen.

The site is in the heart of the City and has a large staff restaurant and extensive hospitality offer ranging from working lunches to very high end plated dining, Michelin star equivalent. 

We are looking for a Hospitality Head Chef to take charge of the entire offer.

Key Responsibilities will include:

 - Full day to day running of the hospitality kitchen and offer

 - Staff training and development

 - Full menu autonomy

 - Hosting client tastings and pop up events including chefs tables

 - Managing financial budgets

 - HACCP

The Head Chef will oversee a stunning kitchen with fantastic equipment and a very supportive client fully bought in to the culinary vision.

Head Chef - Contract Catering - Gloucestershire

FHG are working with a leading education contract caterer to recruit a Head Chef for a new school contract in the Tetbury area. 

The school provides an extensive catering operation with a full Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner offer to the 400 students and staff on site and a comprehensive hospitality offer.

The Head Chef will be tasked with driving standards and coaching and mentoring the kitchen team of 6 whilst developing exciting innovative menus across all offers. 

The hospitality offer is extensive and ranges from school functions to fully commercial events and weddings.

We are looking for a Head Chef with a proven track record of success in quality establishments with a positive attitude able to motivate their teams. The role will involve cooking classes and demos therefore strong communication skills are essential.

Head Chefs should be strong all rounders with commercial acumen and a strong grasp of banqueting and bespoke events.

Head Chef Salary: circa £32k

Hours: 5 days from 7 , 52 week contract

Hospitality Chef - Fantastic Events Venue - Hertfordshire

FHG are working with a stunning venue in Hertfordshire to recruit a Hospitality Chef to oversee the entire C&E operation.

The prestigious site boasts a fantastic onsite cafe and a number of event spaces ranging from 80 to 250 covers serving a variety of offers from plated dining to canapes to buffets and bowl food. 

The events vary from corporate functions to charity events to weddings. 

Hospitality Chefs will take the full reins of the events offer. The Hospitality Chef will be fully involved in tastings, menu development and costings as well as delivery of the events overseeing a small core team plus casuals per business requirements. 

We are interested to hear from Chefs with sound events experience a positive attitude and who are strong communicators.

Hospitality Chef Salary: up to £27k

Sous Chef - Quality Restaurant - Mayfair

FHG are working with a restaurant in Mayfair to recruit a strong Sous Chef to join their kitchen brigade of 12. 

The restaurant serves a fantastic menu based on the cuisine of the Black Sea encompassing flavours from across Eastern Europe with a heavy bias towards seafood. 

The restaurant is open 7 days a week for Lunch and Dinner.

The Sous Chef will be an integral part of the kitchen management team and work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the highest standards possible.

Sous Chef - Fantastic Eastern European Restaurant - London - up to £32k

Are you an experienced Chef with an understanding of Eastern European Cuisine looking for an exciting new opportunity?

FHG are working with a renowned Eastern European restaurant in London to recruit a strong Sous Chef to join their brigade of 8.

The restaurant serves a fantastic Eastern European menu focusing on classics from Russia, Poland and Georgia. The restaurant also has a renowned vodka bar with over 60 varieties of homemade vodkas.

The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee the kitchen team ensuring that standards are met as well as being heavily involved in menu development and overseeing HACCP.

Sous Chefs should have a proven track record of success in high volume establishments and an interest in Eastern European flavours.

The Sous Chef role is based on a 5/7 basis, with a basic salary of up to £32k doe.
